About the Facilitator:

Madeyo Darnell (he/him) is a recent graduate of the University of Arizona. As a student, he interned with CAPS Mindful Ambassadors and facilitated mindfulness practices for students. He is a Level 1 Foundation Qigong Teacher certified through Energy Arts, and has been practicing in the Water Tradition of Daoist Qigong for the past six years.  Madeyo designed this workshop as an explorative space centered around softening in recognition of how Qigong has reconnected him with his own innate softness. Over the years, the practice has instilled the value of softening in a world that constantly demands us to tense our bodies, get stuck in our minds, and harden our hearts. Madeyo is delighted to share this practice exclusively with the University of Arizona community. The workshop will include opportunities for reflection, questions and building connections with others.
