Gregg has worked for the last 14 years to bridge the science-society interface, through dialogues and collaborative projects with scientists and decision-makers. His research and outreach focuses on climate variability and change, drought, and adaptation to a changing climate. He coordinates the Art-Environment Network, an Institute of the Environment initiative to foster interdisciplinary collaboration among University faculty, graduate students and Tucsonans on multiple ways of knowing about the environment.
Gregg received his Ph.D in Geosciences from the University of Arizona, and Master of Science in Geography and Geology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
He is a long-time practitioner of mindfulness meditation in Zen, and Jewish Renewal traditions.
